Rodney E. Reyes

I recently graduated (May 01) and since then I formed a theatre company with two other alumni (one from Rutgers-Newark 99) Mario Corrales, and Jonathan Calindas (one from NJIT 2000 or 2001). Cuchipinoy Productions is the name of our theatre company and just recently we were involved in the Spotlight On Festival (www.spotlighton.org) wherein we produced two original plays. One written by myself, entitled "Who Am I" and one written by Mr. Calindas entitled "the 4AM 'lizbeth." Coincidentally both plays were first done at Rutgers-Newark as part of the TAG (Theatre Arts Group, a student run organization which I was president of during my tenure as a student at Rutgers). Mario Corrales directed "The 4am 'lizbeth" while I directed my own play. A review for both plays can be found at www.cuchipinoy.com (our theatre company's website).

Besides that I was on "The Amanda Lewis Show" for two separate episodes doing some improvisational work which I first learned at Rutgers.

Also I am currently in production for a short video adaptation of an original play by Jonathan Calindas and hope to continue working behind the camera, this was a result of video classes I took at Rutgers as well.

So for the near future our theatre company is planning on producing another show early next year, beginning with a reading of the original play we will decide to work on. If you need any more information please feel free to contact me and I wish you luck on your endeavor.
